I'm going to cut right to the chase. None of my usual wordy flannel, no fancy metaphors and I won't even swear.
Although some might say that Christmas is a seasonal swear word so does that negate the 'I will not swear' thing?
So - with absolutely no sugar-coating - here goes. It is high time we made our Christmas cakes. And yes I am talking to you Pig in the Kitchen as well as all you lovely followers. Some might say we are already too late.
Shall we just get on with it now and then it's done? I'm already not ready for Christmas. Groan.

Go on, you know it makes sense.

Made mine a week ago, TO YOUR RECIPE. Already had a festive swig from the spiced brandy... mmmmm...
I am seriously considering outsourcing the running of my blog to my (smug) cyber friends who always seem to be one step ahead...
Congratulations Flo'bear, you win the 'I'm-ready-for-Christmas' Smug Award 2011. May your festive season be merry and bright.
I am trying not to hate you.

NOOOOO! You are joking about the presents!? *faints*
This has gone into the Christmas folder and will be rolled out on the 20th which is Stir Up Sunday when I'll be making my cake and pud... so you are by no means behind!
Kim, so you mean I have until November 20th? Well that's more like it! *kicks off shoes, reaches for glossy mag*
I made my Christmas cake a few weeks back just so I could tick it off the list!
Love the photo of the dried fruit!
TCC, I'm whispering this but...I STILL haven't made it. Disaster.

Made the cake and it looks awesome... shame I have to wait till Christmas to try the darn thing! Gonna share your recipe via my gluten free blog... Your recipes have serisouly saved my behind as my son is allergic to egg and dairy and I have coeliac disease. We're fabulous lunch guests! Keep up the great work lady!
